Dancing for Dawn is an Adult Prom to Benefit
The Dawn Center of Hernando County

For anyone who didn't get to attend their prom, would like to relive those days, or just wants to put on a fancy dress and dance the night away, we invite you to attend. Dancing for Dawn is being held at The Brooksville Country Club, 23446 Links Drive, Brooksville, on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Entertainment will be provided by the local band The Quitters.

Tickets are $35. Included in the ticket will be appetizers and desserts as well as your choice of either a cocktail or draft beer. A cash bar will also be available for the evening. There will be door prizes and a photo opportunity set up as well.

Although formal wear is not required, anyone needing an affordable dress, please contact Hernando County Fair Association Director Ms. Pat Herrmann at (352) 796-4552.

Tickets are available in Spring Hill at Karen and Co Barber Shop, 7080 Mariner Blvd. 352-597-3646, and at The White Daisy Salon and Day Spa on 414 E. Liberty Street in Brooksville.

Arrangements could be made for delivery of tickets if possible.

Mission Statementalt

To end the cycle of family violence, abuse and sexual assault - where home is a safe place.

The Shelter is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week for women and children that are victims of physical, mental or sexual abuse. Services include shelter, information/referral, hotline, intervention, support groups, court advocacy, service management and community education. All shelter services are provided free of charge and regardless of age, race, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, religious affiliation or income.

Individuals needing services can contact the hotline and speak with an advocate. The advocate will do an assessment and the individual will be admitted or referred for appropriate services. Individuals will meet with an advocate within 72 hours at which time safety planning will be done. In addition, a service plan will be formulated based on the needs and desires of the individual. Staff will advocate for the individual as needed.
